Paint Overspray damaged vehicle but Paint company doesn’t want to pay up

I moved to a new apartment and construction company that finished their work at the complex hired another company to Stripe the parking lot. During painting, someone from the crew sprayed in and around my car without reporting to the office they were coming to paint that day. Usually the office would be notified and send out a resident email blast but that protocol was not followed.

The complex office manager and construction group that hired this striping company, the owner, repeatedly stated his company would take care of it. Well, it took the office manager 3 weeks before the office could even get that company to return their call.

We finally setup a time with them to meet with me. The paint company manager inspected the damage and agreed to find a paint and body shop to get a quote for the cost but once the paint striping company’s manager received the quote, he needed to get the owner to authorize as it was over his limit. After The owner was given the quote for authorization, he no longer wanted to take responsibility for all the overspray on my car. He kept making excuses and washed his hands of it all.

I’m a senior citizen and needed help so Now Me and my Son are having to make attempts to get the owner to take care of the damage like he said “verbally” to the construction group and apartment manager. Now we’re going on 6 weeks!
