I just found bedbugs in my bed

I just found out that my mattress is infested with bedbugs, though it is not a very big infestation but it is giving me sleepless nights. My house also has carpet in almost half of the part. Though I am planning to throw the mattress away, I wanted to ask what can I do that it does not spread from mattress to rest of the house. Can I give ACS? Any switchwords that I can chant?? Please please please help.
