Though I see there is nothing more I could explain, after the wonderful explanation, that Rakhi has given, I would second it with a brief opinion, as she mentioned it in her post.
I would firstly appreciate the way you have made, your medium of understanding, clear. Param-Jnana could be acquired through 3 main streams of Yoga – Bhakti-Yoga, Karma-Yoga & Jnana-Yoga. Your medium is Jnana-Yoga. That is why you search for – a reason, a diagnostic, a process, a science behind whatever principle you plan to follow and that is your understanding. But I would suggest, you should correct yourself in saying in your post, that you find a dearth of other mediums like devotion, faith etc in yourself. I suggest this correction because all the way to spirituality is inter-linked. Advancing through Jnana, if one does not have ‘faith’ in his findings or if one does not have a ‘devotion’ towards his sourcing, he would always have doubt on his work. Also, I would suggest to look into the Jnana in an unbiased way, because one does not know what result this ‘Understanding’ might bring. As such, if at the tail of a quest of mine, if my understanding is that I was pursuing in a wrong direction, then, no doubt I will get a deep ‘understanding’, but it will not give me a ‘connect’.
Now this gives rise to another vital aspect that we mostly ignore, because we always justify our thinking as perfect. Understanding has an antagonist factor – capability. The fact is that my understanding will always commensurate with my capability to grasp. For example, Anti-Darwinists, may opine that life existed in this planet, millions of years, prior to what Darwin calculated to be the Origin of life on Earth. It surely does not belittles Darwin’s contribution to this world, but his findings were as per his set of knowledge and understanding. Galileo enchanted the world by Why I am explaining this, is to tell you that Spirituality is mystical and Soul driven, so sometimes your deep Understanding might not give you a deep Connectivity, but take it from me, your little Connect might give you a deep Understanding. We have to accept, there is much beyond our mind’s perceptions.
Coming to your point-wise quarries, I understand you must have got your thirst quenched. But still, may I opine my version of the Energy – As all know Energy is Formless, colorless, odourless, intangible and yet all powerful origin. Understanding the formless is rather very difficult. Being always trained at mind to focus at a profile, one may really wonder, how to perceive something which is not visible, but that is what the doctrine of God holds for us. I am replying to your quarry of potency of VK, compared to the energy of a deity, Archangel or Ascended master. In my opinion, the beauty of the Cosmic Energy should be seen in Oneness and NOT divided as per sections and levels. VK emits Cosmic energy and so is received from the deities. Then why should it be bifurcated and seen as per potency?? Please note various Deities are formed as per our beliefs and adoration towards them. You will find Lord Shiva with long hairs knotted on his head tied with beads …… understanding is that since he is supposed to be a Tapasvi (Ascetic) performing deep meditation, his hairs are long, but no one perceives that if the Lord’s hairs could not be cut then how come He has a shaven chin?? Have we ever thought of it?? Why does Lord Hanuman in Rajasthan has a Rajputana moustache and in regular persona in UP ?? Please understand, the Divine Energy should always be seen in complete Oneness. Whether it is emitted through VK or showered from Deity, Archangel or Ascended master……It is the same Divine energy.
